MAY 18, 2005 -- 2 POEMS FOR ENGLISH

A.I.A.C.O.M
By Eric Hamilton - Pd 4

I feel lost in a crowd
Without unity or uniqueness
I can’t even hear my voice out loud
Because of the dense shouts of the masses

“If” and “but” are the only words I know
“Am” and “are” are out of the question
Things like this make you feel low
Its like a sinking nothingness sensation

Alone in this crowd
The crowd of millions
Its like a sea that surrounds
I must say it’s not very fun

Something has changed
Something has been rearranged
Something in the distance
Is this for real

Its coming so fast
I don’t know how much longer this will last
Its coming my way
Faster than the light of day

The Last Summer
By Eric Hamilton - Pd 4

How long has it been now?
Much to long for my likings
It all seems so far away
But I can remember it like it was yesterday
Back to when everyone was carefree
When what to do next was your only worry

If it wasn’t for those days
I don’t think I’d be the same
All of the good times when we laughed until we’d cry
Rain soaked clothes and orange struck skies
Forgetting about our troubles and our worries
Making time to tell everyone the stories

As the sky would fade
We would set out on our crusade
Side by side
Catching everyone’s eye
Lights of every color passing by
The only thing left untouched by the sky

Sandlot: Beast Story (2 mins roughly)

Shhh!.. Now Quiet!...The legend, of the beast goes back a lonnnnng time. Before any of us could even pick up a baseball. Back to a place called Mertle’s Acres. It allll started ‘bout...hmm..20 years ago, when thieves kept stealing junk from Mertle Acres’ Junkyard. So Mr. Myrtle, the guy who used to own the place......got’em this new pup from the dog pound. He feed him whole sides of beef. And turned the pup over to the junkyard. And the pup was greatful..... And so, in a few weeks the pup grew into the beast, and he grew biiiiiiiiggggg and he grew meeeeeannnnn, so that he could protect the junkyard with only one thing on his mind...TO KILL EVERYONE THAT BROKEN IN! And he did, and he liked it...A LOT! The beast was the most perfect junkyard dog that ever lived. A true killing machine. But after awhile, the cops started getting phone calls from people reporting all the missing thieves...the ones the beast had killed. It added up to about a 120...a173 guys. Its true. But they neeever found a single body. Not one. Some people say they all got away. But we all know what really happened. The beast ate them. He ate them booooone and all. The beast was too good at his guard dog job, so the police said he had to be retired. My grandpa, Squidmon Paladorus, was police chief back then. Then he ordered Mr. Mertle to turn his backyard into a fortress and chain up the beast, and put him under the house, where he couldnt get out to eat children and stuff. And that’s where he’s been for 20 years and that’s where he’ll be for the rest of his life. Because Mr. Mertle asked the cops how long he had to keep the beast chained up like a slave, he said until “for-ev-ver, for-ev-ver, for-ev-ver, for-ev-ver”. And so the beast sits there under that lean to, dreaming of a time when he can break the chain and get out. Dreaming of the time he can chase and kill again.

C Down the same old road again.

1. Supernatural events: None
2. Sensational, sordid or tragic subject matter: None
3. Omission of detail such as description or characterization: The use of  Omission of Detail(s)          is shown various times throughout the ballad on the previous page. One example would be in         the fourth stanza. Here the only information is given, is in question form and just vaguely               describes something by asking “black or blue?” and “old or new?”. It could refer to almost             anything. From the color of a car passing by, to the color of someone’s eyes. Omission of               detail is also within other stanzas, like that of the first stanza. In it, the line “Sounds but no             sights” is written. This leaves it up to the reader to decide what this could mean. The true               meaning of that line is rather a description of awaking from sleep, which is hinted at in the             third line of that same stanza, making reference to dreaming, common phenomenon that                 occurs during sleep. There are many other instances within this ballad, but those are meant to         be found and deciphered by the reader.
4. Refrain: The refrain is placed in the fourth line of every stanza, which reads “Down the same         old road again.”
5. Incremental repetition of phrases of sentences: This could also be referred to as the refrain to         an extent because it is also the line “Down the same old road again”.
6. Question and answer format: None
7. Conventional phrases with symbolic or metaphoric meanings: I would have to point out that          this ballad tends to lean to the metaphoric and symbol aspects of things during most of the             ballad. One of the more apparent examples would be in stanza five. The third line that reads           “For the path is one with many hills”. That line has two examples of symbolism. The first              being the “path”. The path represents the “path” of life. As an individual grows and lives their      lives, they “travel” down the path. This is one fo the key points to understanding the true      nature and meaning of this ballad. The second half of that line, where it reads “hills”, hills is      representing that of troubles and events that people come across in live. May it be a large one      or a small one, it symbolizes something to be tackled by someone, in order to proceed further      down the “path” of life. Other instances of symbolism or metaphors can be found in stanza      number eight. The line referring to “storms” is meant to convey storms as a troublesome event      in life, similar to that of referring to “hills” in the “path” that I mentioned not too long ago.      There are many more examples here that are nearly too much to fight on this page due to      detail.
8. Rhythm (ballad stanza): Rhythm in this ballad is the following:
AABC, DDEC, FFGC, HHIC, JJKC, LLMC, NNOC, PPQC, RRSC, TTUC.

JANUARY 24, 2007  ---  RESEARCH PAPER FOR SENIOR PROJECT (NOT SURE WHAT DRAFT THIS IS)

Video production can deal with something as short as a commercial, or as vast as a full-feature, Hollywood movie. Even something like the World Series or even the Super Bowl falls under the scope of video production. Producing video is quite a hard idea to grasp for the average person. The idea of creating something that is purely of moving images and being able to compile that collection of still frames that make up video footage into a complete video boggles the mind. Having video production allows for people to watch television and go to the movies. The amount of innovations made possible due to video production are astounding. Television, movies and all things video related have come a long way since its beginning.
The amount of people who are a part of a movie, whether it is limited to a couple seconds like a television promotional ad or the next Indiana Jones movie, is more than one would consider. A video shoot is broken up into parts for different people that work together as a team to make sure the job gets done. Each person is expected to carry out their own task in order for a complete piece of work. The producer acts as the head person in charge. Their job is to oversee that everything is completed. This includes obtaining sufficient funding for shooting to take place, and coming up with a rough version of the script (Allman 26). The producer is accompanied on bigger shoots by a person known as the assistant producer. The assistant producer’s job is to help ease the load for the producer, that way the producer can go about making sure everything is in place (27).
Film directors work with the producer to bring whatever is being filmed to life. This means interacting with the actors on how they should act their part to how the camera operator should shoot the scene so that it allows proper lighting for the actors to be seen. Along with those important tasks at hand, the director has to interpret the script. If a movie is made based on a book, and the movie made is not as good as the book, this is because the director maybe have interpreted it differently. The director is also the most
experienced member of the production team, having worked for years as a lower staff team member such as an assistant to the director of photography (Discovering 37).
The director of photography, which is responsible for the way the film is being shot, works with his team of cameramen who operate the different cameras in use (39). He also works with the lighting technician and prop manager to make sure nothing is out of place or in the way since they must set up the cameras with their crew before a shot is to be filmed (21-23). In the case of larger films, a camera assistant is common (40). The production team’s prop manager is the main person when it comes to set design and anything dealing with props involved in a scene. Things like a cars in the background on a side street, to a Nintendo Gameboy being played by an eight year old in a doctor’s office is all up to the prop manager (71). The lighting technician plays a role with the prop manger because they help achieve the look to a set, as well as the mood it is to give off. A shot of people driving down the road is going to be bright to carry the feel if it was for the ending of a movie, just like a dark hallway in a horror movie has to have dramatic, dark lighting so that it can give off an eerie feel via the shadows and other accompaniments provided by the lighting on the set (44-45).
Finally, there are what is called the video editors. Sometimes called film editors due to the method and type of cameras used to shoot a particular shot, video editors are the ones that do all the after-effects. This would include things compiling all of the footage shot over the entire filming process into one final film, working with the audio engineer, who works with the sound effects that are later added in along with music and other audio related details, and doing things
such as special effects and making sure the completed project follows the script and storyboard (56-57).
When talking about things dealing with video production, its inner workings and all of the events that correspond with them, understanding the terminology is key. Most common terms tend to be things people have heard in their everyday lives at some point or another. A clip is short length bit footage used usually for promotional reasons. Such clips would be used in a trailer, which is a condensed version of a soon-to-be released movie (Allman 79). Trailers will usually be shown in theaters before a movie and are usually referred to be the general public as previews (34). A shot eventually becomes a movie or a clip. A shot can best be defined as an unedited segment of footage of a particular scene, object or subject. These are what make up the many parts of a movie and are the reason it takes so long for one to be completed (107). There are many other technical terms used that make up television shows and other forms of entertainment. As mentioned before, the storyboard plays a role in the way a movie
plays out. The storyboard is a visual, order of events representation of what is to be the planned look of a movie. In skits seen on various cable television shows, a storyboard is used to convey general idea so that the actors, as well as the staff, can have a better understanding of what is going on in the scene (Land Terminology). When it comes to the dialog in a movie, a script is needed, which is a description of a production in written form. Usually, a script will contain every part for every character so that the actor can get an idea of when they are to go and to memorize the actions to be portrayed in that particular scene (Land Terminology). Movies are not limited to just big budget, feature films. Other than the big Hollywood movies that can be found being advertised all over, there are movies that are just as good, but made by lesser known
talent or newly established film production companies. These are known as independent films and can be found appearing at film festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival and the South by Southwest Film Festival which takes place every year. When shown at the festivals, movies are picked up by major studios who pay large amounts to make the movie into something one would see in a theater or on store shelves for sale (Allman 132). While movies have their own terminology, so does television. When it comes to actors and extras, they are referred to as the talent. When a live show is going on, cameramen are told to cut. To cut is to switch cameras (102). This can be best witnessed on live shows such as late-night talk shows or one the evening news. These shows are shown over a wide portion of the world, which is commonly termed as broadcasting, meaning to have a wide-spread showing of a program(Bone 76). Usually, when a show is read to be shown and broadcast to the masses, it is known as being syndicated (Allman 58).
To understand where video production has come, one has to look back at its history. Before television, the only real form of production was the movies of the early nineteen hundreds, but before then, the idea for moving picture had to be developed. Credited for the idea of moving pictures is Peter Mark Roget, who wrote a paper to the Royal Society in London which further explained his idea. Soon after, Roget helped create machines capable of such a feat named the Zoetrope (Bone 1). Soon after, the development of film from negative film was derived in England by scientist William Henry Fox Talbot. From there, motion picture was only a short way away from making its debut  and it did just that on December 28, 1895 in Grand Café, Paris as a silent film. It took nearly thirty years until sound was introduced into the movie experience. By then, the first film school was opened in 1927. It was called the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This led to more film innovations to be made quicker and because of this, the idea and creation of a television was devised and eventually became a reality by the nineteen thirties (2-4). As the years went by, innovations were made that set video production off in a while new direction. This eventually gave birth to what we know today as the color television and cable television. By the time that the nineteen seventies were ending, video was changed forever with the introduction of the VHS tape in 1976, which allowed the public to own individual copies of major films to be watched on a VCR, which was release at the same time as VHS (16).  From there, video entertainment skyrocketed and has become a more accessible. VHS became out-dated and was replaced by DVDs in the early to mid nineties along with the introduction of compact disc to the music market. DVDs are similar to compact discs, except for that striking fact that DVDs play video, which are played on DVD players, while compact discs play audio and are played with the help of a CD player (Nulph 15-16).

Since then, televisions and the way movies and other forms of how we view visual entertainment has changed. The televisions of old have changed completely since the ones found throughout the mid-nineteen hundreds. Now instead of bulky, glare-ridden televisions, people can purchase plasma and flat-screen televisions with liquid crystal displays that are so compact one can hang them on their wall and have no glare at all (14). The way movies were made have changed too. Before, film was captured via film and with the use of large cameras that jammed often. Now, everything done production-wise is strictly digital and done on computers (Allman 3-4). Because of computers, exposure to video is more accessible due to the internet. With the internet, and the transgression into digital, movies and shows can now be downloaded and viewed on the world wide web. The internet also allows for more broadcasting of shows and
films and has brought a new type of visual media known as podcasts, which are mostly videos one can receive by automatically downloading them with a subscription to that particular show or series (Production Control 28-31; Bone 76).

MAY 24, 2006  -- ROUGH DRAFT FOR MR WHYLE'S CLASS

The Dawn of Computers
Introduction
The computer has revolutionized how our lives play out and how the world around us works. Along with it, comes jargon that has been created over the years that computers have been around. A microchips (or microprocessors) is a device that processes programs, remembers information, and performs calculations. Binary is a mathematical system consisting of the numbers zero and one. RAM, or Random Access Memory, is where a computer stores programs and data. The motherboard is the main circuit board in a computer and contains the computer’s parts such as microchips, sockets, and plugs. The “hard drive” stores all the computer's information and retains the information when the computer is turned off. The acronym “PC” stands for personal computer; a computer found usually within the home or business environment. BIOS, or Basic Input/Output System runs at the startup where it configures devices and then boots the operating system. CPU is short for Central Processing Unit and is often, simply called, the processor. The CPU is a microchip that is installed on a motherboard and acts as the computer’s brain—performing calculations and coordinating the hardware components. While computers seem to just run by pushing a button, there is more to them than meets the eye.
I. How Things Work:
Computers are considered to be a general purpose tool, built around a microprocessor, or CPU. The CPU handles and allows programs to run. With a combination of the other various components of a computer, the CPU can allow one to use something such as a word processing program to type documents. Along with
programs, games can be played due to the CPU being present. Also, the Internet is accessed with the help of the computer’s CPU. Without the CPU one could not even start a computer.
Other parts of a computer function as well. A main part is the computer’s hard drive. Here, the computer stores all it’s input data, storing it there for use later on, whether it be in a couple minutes or in a few years. Data stored on the hard drive stays on the hard drive forever, unless the hard drive is destroyed physically.
How a computer works involves the CPU first sending out information. That information that was sent, makes it’s way to the networks where it is received. From here, that same information, along with other information, is sent throughout the motherboard. When this happens, the information is spread throughout the computer to the appropriate destination needed for the numerous parts of a computer to work properly. The last phase of information is then sent to the hard drive where information is stored for later purposes. Making this basic chain of events possible came after years of hard labor and dedicated research.
II. Historical Background:
The basic idea for a computer began in the early 1940's. Colossus was one of the first precursors to computers. It was created in the efforts to help aid the United States during World War II to crack and decode the Nazi’s encrypted codes and messages. Not short after, the German’s developed their version of a the Colossus, called the Konrad Zuse. After the creation of Colossus and the German built Konrad Zuse, the first basic computer was developed in 1943. Named the “Mark 1", it was made by a man by the name of Howard Aiken. At the time, Aiken was employed at IBM. Similar to that of the reason that Colossus was conjured up, the Mark 1 was made to be used to solve difficult ballistics problems for the US Navy. Following the creation of the Mark 1, ENIAC was created by J.Piesper Eckert and John Mauchly. As technology was in demand, it became part of the business end of things. In 1951 the first business computer was completed. Along with that, UNIVAC was created by designers of the ENIAC and was used in the presidential election of 1952. In the election, Walter Cronkite announced on CBS news that it had correctly predicted that the election winner would be Eisenhower and not his opponent Adlai E. Stevenson. Heated development soon followed the entrance of computers into the business world. Texas Instruments developed the first integrated chip. In 1975 the idea of a PC was introduced. Heading the PC cruve, Apple creates the first PC. Apple later on becomes one of the best known PC companies next to the soon-to-come company,  Microsoft. As the demand for a more efficient means of computer processing beckons, Hewlett-Packard introduces the microprocessor in 1981. Bill Gates and his partner, Paul Allen enter the PC world and create the first PC software. Microsoft is then created. After the advancing so much with computers, people begin to think that  they could be sold for a large profit.
III. Development/Refinement
Companies started to appear as “the age of computers” progressed. Microsoft was one of the leading companies. Founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen, Microsoft was created in 1975. Not to say as far as a company since it had very few members to it’s team of developers. It was not until 1976 that it was officially dubbed Microsoft. The number of staff members consisted of eleven members, all assigned to refining and working the project at hand, which was called BASIC. Microsoft began with BASIC, a software for the Altair 8800. Once BASIC was completed, Microsoft then set to out create, Xenix, the first Operating System. With every product made, Microsoft stuck to its goal: making computers easy to use.
Dell was also an aspiring company. Founded by Michael Dell, Dell’s main idea was to sell personal computers straight to buyers. Selling computers straight to the buyer allowed overhead prices to be lower, allowing more money for profit. Before being named Dell, originally it was called “PC’s Limited”. Dell’s first product was released under the name of “Turbo PC” in 1985. Now, Dell is the leading PC manufacture next to the likes of Apple. As the years went on, other companies made developments with computers a their parts.
IV. Computer Products
As computer grew, so did their parts. Computer parts are valued more than entire computers in this day and age. One of the highly valued computer parts in this day and age, is a computer’s graphics card. Effecting the way things appear on your screen, the graphics card is a must when it comes to using a computer for things such as video editing and production, video games, or any other situation in where visuals are a must.  As of the end of last month, ATI has the leading graphics card. ATI’s X1900 XTX   graphics card has been the choice for hi-end computer visuals.
Computer parts are coveted mainly by the “gamer scene” in the “PC world”. Gamers are the biggest customers when it comes to computer parts and computers as a whole. Gamers spend an average of $1400 on their parts that make up a PC. Some spend up to $2000 or more. This is due to the fact that gamers result in buying the “cream of the crop” when purchasing parts to build and maintain their computers. One can imagine this is only a small fraction of computers today.
V. Current Applications:
Currently, computers have “hit the big time” and can be found everywhere. Uses for computers vary to what they are and what they are used for specifically. There is a wide range of what they are used for. The vast majority of PCs nowadays are used in the office and home environment. In the work place, they are used to do simple tasks, usually. Such as spreadsheets, paper work, and other means of word processing. At home they can be used for personal interests. Personal interests vary, but most is for school work, surfing the internet, and playing games. Some can even go as far as, use wise, to be used for home entertainment, such as movies and music. Because of their availability and compact, “easy-to-use” set up, computers have been integrated into almost every home. Because of this, it has taken the place of the typewriter, which was used to prior to the computer to get work done with.
Computers are used elsewhere, for larger operations as well. Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) uses computers develop blueprints. These blueprints are then printed by the computers and used for visuals when constructing some type of building or other object that needs plans or directions to construct. NASA uses its immensely technical  computers regularly for its procedures in testing and training astronauts for space orbit and exploration. Also, the same computers are used to monitor the space shuttles sent into outer space and also used onboard the space shuttles. These computers allow the passengers that are living on the space shuttles to live and maintain their mission status.  Because of this, Mission Control has one of the largest computers in the world.
Conclusion:
Computers have taken a great progression forward from their basic begins and their simplistic abilities. After the idea of binary code, things begin to take shape. With the help of the Navy, computers developed quicker due to the war effort. Because of that, the need for materials to better suit the way things ran within a computer led to the silicon microchip and to smaller models of computers. Now, computers are sleek, fast and can be found anywhere in the world.
The future holds big opportunities for the use of computers and because of that, computers will be around for generations to come.

NOV 6, 2005   --- BLOG POST (POSSIBLY XANGA.COM OR MYSPACE)  FOR THE SAME DATE AS LISTED

Hey everyone.  Making the best outta things? Well ya should be. Now ot business...

Here's a little look-see into the life of Eric since the last oh...kagillion blogs have been on what i like to consider the "Em'" side of things. Bring your Hardhats.

Well, lets seeee here. Let's start with last weekend...or better yet last Friday. Like always, it was another football game that I had to go to. Though this time I had to stay after to school and then go straight to the game which kinda blew cuz you figure, I couldnt go home and just bum around for awhile and get dinner and stuff. Luckily things got better. We left to go eat at the Golden Coral somewhere i think was near Monroeville. I dunno, but it was likes 5 mins away from teh game at Franklin Regional later that night. I have to say anytime we go out to eat for band, it's a party. Dear lord! So much awesome stuff. For instance, the fact that Pleasant [Ass] Joe decided to "whip it good" like Devo and do it towards this Freshman girl who was on his bus, was something nobody ever expect. That's just nuts because even I wouldnt do that nor would anyone else that I know, and the fact that it's Pleasant Joe, is just almost unheard of. Chris has DEFINATELY succeeded in corrupting the uncorruptable. For Sure. Then there was the mass amount of black people. HOLY SHIT. I didnt know it was KFC in there haha. I serioulsy never saw so many black people, cripples, and old people in the same place at once except the unemployment line. GEEZ. i know that sounds harsh and quite racist but, you would no doubt, agree with what i'm saying. then there was almost a fight between two of the black co-workers, but the reason they didnt fight was "There's little kids around"...WHAT. THE. FUCK....If I wanna see a fight, so do little kids. Little kids wanna see a fight. What is wrong with those people. What else...oh yeah Mylan nearly killed the one waitress for dropping a glass of coke near him, which then she decided to dump them all, which she strategically positioned to annihilate every inch of Mylan's white hoodie that was on the chair next to him. I think I'd wanna see that fight too. And so would the little kids. Then the three members of the Triad came in haha, thennn we stole a napkin dispenser for Chris cuz you all know (if not by now) that Chris, is in fact, the man with a million napkins. He lives for them. It's his fetish i think, but that's just stating the obvious. Some more things happened there, but I can't remember what exactly and to top that, I'm taking way to long to talk about that stuff.

The game went as planned. We dominated for 6 minutes, then got raped, pilaged and burned down by the other team. That and once again, we had another wierd thing happened to us while going to the bathroom at the game. Old guys are sure to be wierd and make you laugh your ass off becuase theyre wierd, whenever when comes in outta of nowhere while you're in there doing your business. Maybe that's a little too much information...

Well we lost, thank god, and everyone rejoiced and we all went home with full stomachs and full of laughter.

Next day: Bagels and Em' Extremes
Man, this day TOTALLY was like a dream. THe more I think about it, it had to have been. Seriously it was SO. WIERD. Things started off liek the usual morning after a football game. I get up, 10-11ish. No one's home so I'm lovin' it. But then Chris calls and goes, "you want to go down bruger's" and I go, hey why not. Plus they have no way to get down there and since I AM MAPQUEST, in a nutshell, why not go. We get down ther eto Sewickley and right off the bat I knw things are gonna be wierd. Grown ass men that are over 50 wearing tights. Emo kids that walk in circles. MILFs. Clothes that are way too exspensive that suck. Random people who think they're movie stars. Health Freaks. Little kids who are probably more intelligent than most adults. Cars that I couldn't afford if i sold my kidneys and sold my house. Oh and yeah, mumbling old black men in bathrooms with big ass gray/white beards that say things in wookie or some foeign mumbling language that only other mumbling wokkie like old black men in bathrooms would understand. It was all too wierd. But, the bagels were Muy Bien, and it was a really different change. One thing I learned is that if you go down Sewickley, EVERYONE has some sort of brewed hot beverage in their hands, even if its hot out. Sewickley IS Starbucks. Seriously, no joke, everyone had a styrofoam coffee container from, or looking like it was from, starbucks.

Later that day...
Mike's Girlfriend Ashlee invited Chris, Justin and I as well as some other people we knew like Mike (duh), Kim and Steve (her kim's boyfriend and Chris' cousin) to the P-A-R-T, why? because I gotta. Chris went as Jesus, the son of christ. Justin went as...orange...ness....thing. i cant remember what he called it. maybe an orange ninja. Either way, Justin puts the O in Orange. Or maybe the A, N, G, E and R in Orange. Sometimes more than never/needed. But that's just Justin for ya. Steve and I were the only ones who really didnt do much...and Cassie. We saw her there, which was pretty cool cuz i haven't seen her since July-ish. She has this..I wanna say "hooker feather rope thing" around her neck..but i know that's not what you would call it. But ya, she gave it to me to wear. Then Nicole showed up too and she had these wings on and she let me wear them which made me look even crazier. Then, I found these glow stick things, like the ones you might get at Fourth of July during fire works. Well no one was using them, so i made a beld and other things out of them. So I guess you could say I was a Flying Techno Whore (F.T.W. for short), if you really needed a name of for what I was byt he end of the night. We were there, but...I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. Well, first off, you know how Myspace is the place where Emo kids were born and/or are known to hang out? (Nothing against Emo kids. I know some lol) Well I didn't think the ones i saw one Myspace existed. Boy was I wrong. I walk in and the first thing hear is some girly singing. So I figure, "oh there's a girl singing and playing guitar". Nope. It was a guy, playing guitar, singing like a girl, and being completely all over teh place about his Em' self. Then I look around. It was almost as if they were coming out of the walls. There was Emo kids EVVVVVERYWHERE. As far as the eye could see. Except for like two people, it was Em' Extreme day at the party. SO that was an experience that night. Much talk went on, but I won't get into that and anything else that happened that night just because what happens at Ashlee's last halloween party, stays at Ashlee's last halloween party.

Sunday, October 30th:
It's all about Saw II. God was I happy to find out prior to that day, that there as a sequal to the first Saw. Now I don't know about you, but I'm not a Horror movie fan, but Saw is DEFINATELY the acception to the rule. A lot of people either didn't like it or lourved/lurved it. I for one, lourved/lurved it. That night, Derek went up like a freakin two hours too early and bought tickets cuz both nights before (friday and sunday) the movie was sold the truck out. So, Derek, being the...???i dunno what he is, drove up there like I said. Well while he was up there waiting for hours, Dave came by and picked me up, then we went and picked up Zack and his Sister, Laiken (which has to be one of the coolest names on the planet) and her friend who to this day, never told us her name. While the whole time I played DJ with Dave's MP3 player and put on all the music that was trasmitted from his MP3 to the radio with his transmiter which is so cool, that i still need to get. We get there, see the movies, leave. All in all, really good time.

Now this past week has only been good. Monday started my first day back to life known as Track, or rather Indoor Track, in this case. I'm not going to blab too much about it just because no one wants to hear abuot track like I would since im a freak-a-leak about track. Same crew, plus or minus a couple people, for the time being. I think we're gonna dominate this year for sure. Can't wait.

Been doing that all week, but Friday, I got to do Video Announcements FINALLY and I must say I blew it up real fast, but I soon ammended what had been screwed up with some humor, so things worked out greato. I had fun and everyone else was happy that I did it, even though i did screw things up cuz I had to wing the entire thing cuz i didn't know what I was supposed to do. It's cool though. Real Cool.

That same day my cousin's from Charolettesvile (i have the hardest time spelling that, so don't crucify me Elaine), Virginia came up late that night and stayed until earlier today. It was a good time, minus that fact that it was cramped as hell cuz of all the people. It was my mom and I, plus my aunt Carol, her husband Sean, my cousin's Elaine and Suzanne, and then Sean's two kids Brenna and Spencer. I don't see them too often, so it's a treat when they come. My older cousin Denise could'nt come because she's in Willmington, NC at college. I don't really know Sean or his two kids too well either since my Aunt got re-married to him only about 5 or so years ago. I tried to make them feel more comfortable but Brenna was the only one who really wasn't, but it just takes time. We went up my grandparents and visited and played around then came back and ate at my place and then went up the mall and I got a pimp ass WHITE BELT, then came back and Elaine and I went out with [Flava] Dave and Zack [Attack} and went bowling cuz Zack's sister was down there and yeah i dunno but we went bowling though haha. It was something to do I guess and they got to meet my cousin. sooo YEAH.

OH! On Wednesday, my dad stopped by with a gift for me, out of the blue, and gave me an MP3 player! it's so cool and i've always wanted one. I dunno why he got it for me. Anyway, it's got 30 Gigs of memory annnnd I FILLED UP 17.1 GIGS ALREADY!!!! My life is music i swear...AND I LOVE  IT.

Oh and look at this. This is for Kim. I found the Asian man under you bed. His name is Kim too! Check out that BLIIIING, Blingity Blangin'.

Myspace never tends to amaze me...

So there ya have it folks. Plain and Straight. That's my doings and do-on's of the past week or so, being anti-em'. I Hope it was a treat from the norm.

I BET NO ONE WILL EVEN SEE THIS

Well it seems I thought people here at Shadowness weere the people i could feel like I fit in. I guess I was wrong :( No one has even viewed ANY of my journal entries for months. The purpose of these entries are here for me to express my feelings as well as my emotions and thoughts, even just to be noticed. I never get noticed. My last entry was the one and ONLY entry I really wanted people to see, but of course, as my life always seems to show, nothin and no one acknowledged it, let alone noticed me. Frankly, im sick of it. I feel as though i could be not real, because everyone doesnt notice me being here or there) In a place I thought I would get noticed or at least have...i dunno even what word to use to described the way I feel right now. It's almost as if I've been betrayed by someone dear to me. Thats what it feels like and because of that i feel like i dont know if i should give off the friendliness and attention that i give to others even if i dont know you. I try to make friends wherever i go and this is one of the places i feel like they would mean worthwhile. i wanna say more but i cant. i have to get off the computer now because my parents are giving me a hard time. things will never change :'( i really feel strongly that they never will. i dotn even feel like talkin about my first day of school or ANYTHING. It's times like this i wish i was someone else...maybe thats why i wanna become like my idols, the LP. at least people notcie them for whatever they do, even if theyre arent popular everywhere. sounds way too familiar...

OK OK OK! To clear things up i basically didnt come through on any journal entry thus this far. Well from now on that all changes starting......wait, wait for it.....almost there.......ok, NOW. Arent you glad you all waited for that? I know I'm glad! ok ok enough with the rambling. Its time to get down to business. Well school starts for me tomorrow and it really hasnt hit me yet. Im not surprised just because the end of the past school year didnt either. I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing. This almost sounds like one of the stories that should be on "Unsolved Mysteries".

Im finally going to see Lostprophets live, in person now! I cant wait. On October 23rd, 2004 theyre coming to some place in/near Pittsburgh and me and a couple friends are pitching in to go. That also bring me to my decision to go "Prophet Style" or "Ian style" as I like to call it. What all this is means is that im gonna grow my hair out some and grow a gotee (i think i spelled that right). i think its called a gotee. just look at the image above and you'll know. im tired of lookin like the average person or below average. i wanna get noticed and dress well enough to fit the part of "nice guy" or "Unique". Maybe even Dane Cook's idea of being a B.A.M.F. ( Bad Ass Mother Fucker). Hopefully things go well and i dont get the opposite and turn into an oukast, or get thrown into the goth class (no offense, im just not going for that, plus gothic people are some of the nicest people in the entire world. props to most of you goths! :D) or thrown intot he ultra super below scum catagory. All in all i just wanna be somebody. Sobybody special. Somebody who will get the girl and not the guy who helps the other guy get the girl. And finnally to have someone to be with, at least for little while. I've been lonely for too long now.

Well after reading this again to myslef I really would have to say this is my most personal journal entry to date. I doubt anyone will notice this so I dont look to see many people to comment on this. If you could, please do. I need any help I can get, or just even a friendly comment to make me feel like im going the distance for a reason other than self pride. Later Faithful...

DEC 4, 2005   --- "MONDAY THAT FEELS LIKE SUNDAY"

the light from the screen casts an eiree glow upon my notebook
letters and drawings on horizontal lines are vertical when looked upon
it's the only light in the room
windows are closed which means no moon
for a day off it sure feels pretty horrible
makes me wonder what tomorrow brings
let things be without jive and full of laughter
i can't reach the one im after
you're miles away and it's heart-wrenching knowing your with him
six months of time wasted to make my brain experience diaster
we make plans hoping for the best
things never happen
one less chance the souls will unite for a dance tonight
make me legendary so that i can sore above the rest
i need fame to keep my chin from hitting my chest
way for me to be higher then everyone i've ever meet
im not settling for being second best
i run the race as hard the rest
yet i still fail to surpass second best
make me rise above the rest
lets take out whats known as second best

JUNE 20, 2005  --- "SN THING"

Man, it feels like forever, but i've been a member at Shadowness for a little over a year now. I remmeber being a fan of Shadowness way before it was a community, back when i first got my computer and the inter. I was like 11 maybe, but one day I saw SHadowness from a friend i met online and man..man was I blown away. As soon as I saw the website I knew what I wanted to do for a living. Shadowness has changed so much and it's helped me in so many ways I can't even explain them all. All the people I've met and talked to, all the things I've made, the change of my style over the past year, its all been because of SN. I mean if it wasn't for SN I wouldnt be where I am now, artistically as well as a person. I remember back when i first joined I was so into Shadowness that even in school, I was sneaking on during computer class just so I could see what had happened since I was last on. Oh and the whole "Zilla" thing. wow that was nuts. I even made a picture for Rinn because she started the whole thing. The IRC chat, man that was nuts, people got so hardocre about that for awhile there that people stopped talkin on the main site! I can only hope for the best when EX-3 rolls around. Only the best for Shadowness!

Well looky here im back. maybe with some patience to do this thing too! *yay* <----crowd of small children. gotta love the emotion FELT when using the *'s. AWWESOME....ok its been about 2 weeks so i decided to update thinkin "why the hell not". so lets see here...ah how about i Joined MySpace. pretty cool place i guess. more or less using it to check up on Dane and LPS since they'll be there updating instead of their official site. cant wait till the new stuff gets done. especially a DVD. that'd be a niec treat in the middle of the waiting. theyre the craest gyus ive ever seen. theyre soo funny. and i can actaully understand them unlike other brits. speaking of new stuff dane cook's got his new album RETALIATION coming out next month. cant wait. here's some of Dane in all his Glory.

I'm loving it. Closed Captioning at its finest.
              --------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok this part is gonna be explainations to my '04 playlist.  i guess i'll do the first 9, aka the quarter of the year. get ready to be rocked--better yet make that Skull Fucked<----
              --------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Motion City Soundtrack - A.O.K.
I'm fine, I'm fine
These words are all I have to hide
Behind, so get behind me
You have no right to say...

I shut my mouth
And walk away from the memory game
So don't forget, don't forget
I am the reason

This had to do with me never finding anyone. I was always down an really not myself as i wanted to be. I tried to make the best of things but i'd always have to come back to reality. Like on the Pasadena trip last year. during new years (dec 31-Jan1st) everyone was in the ballroom thing, but me? guess where i was? i was upstairs, in my room watching tv trying to forget.

2. Foo Fighters - All My Life

All my life Iíve been searching for somethiní
Somethiní never comes, never leads to nuthiní
Nothiní satisfies, but Iím gettiní close
Closer to the prize at the end of the rope

This is more or less just a cry for help, a shot in the dark at something that could possibly be there. this can be looked at 2 ways. before i met megan and when i met megan. (you'll soon learn later on she wasnt the right person. backstabbers always leave scars)

3. Maroon 5 - This Love

I was so high I did not recognize
The fire burning in her eyes
The chaos that controlled my mind
Whispered goodbye and she got on a plane
Never to return again
But always in my heart

This love has taken it's toll on me
She said goodbye too many times before
And her heart is breaking in front of me
I have no choice cause I won't say goodbye anymore

Well im going to talk about the 2nd half of that, cuz its...well it'll play into the 2nd part. not the best way to describe this but this song was sorta "our song" when megan and i were meetin and talkin to each other. the 2nd part of the song is more or less irony of what is forshadowned in the later months ahead. its funny cuz i was thinking that when i heard this song. funny how things play out, aint it?

4. Hot Hot Heat - Bandages

Bandages on my legs and my arms from you... Bandages
Up and down on my legs and my arms from you... Bandages
These bandages cover more than scrapes,
cuts and bruises from regrets and mistakes.
I've been hoping your moping around the street again.
I've been tripping from sipping the dripping dirty water tap.
I've been poking a voodoo doll that you do not know I made.
These bandages are anonymity.
I've been shaking from making an awful decision.
I've been running and running...
feels like my head is spinning round and round.
Bandages on my legs and my arms from you... Bandages!
Up and down on my legs and my arms from you... Bandages.
I've been hoping your moping around the street again.
I've been tripping from sipping the dripping dirty water tap.
I've been poking a voodoo doll
that you do not know I made for you -of you- let's see what needles do.
I've been shaking from making an awful decision.
I've been thinking I'm drinking too many drinks all by myself.
I've been running and running...
feels like my head is spinning round and round.
Don't worry now... don't worry cuz it's all under control.
Don't worry cuz it will all turn around.

To sum things up the best and most unpainstakenly, im just gonna say "recovery from megan" and a lil "best of wishes" if you get my drift...or read the lyrics.

5. Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song

Waiting on a Sunday afternoon

for what I read between the lines,

your lies.

Feelin' like a hand in rusted shame

so do you laugh or does it cry?

reply?

leavin' on a southern train

only yesterday you lied,

promises of what I seemed to be

only watched the time go by,

all of these things you said to me.

breathing is the hardest thing

to do. with all I've said and

all that's dead for you,

you lied - good bye

leavin' on a southern train

only yesterday you lied

promises of what I seemed to be

only watched the time go by,

all of these things I said to you.

another song about megan. she pretty much was all i wanted at the time...and thats sad, very sad.

6. Lostprophets - The Fake Sound of Progress

Somebody told me that I always have to bow
if that was true I would have fallen apart by now
The more u think, the less u act their ways
so can u hear this, the fake sound of progress

Never reason with a fool, but is that unkind,
looks like I lost my mind once again
I know it all sounds so contrived, but its got to me
u know I've got to be more than this
don't frown, don't scorn, cus I walk a different street to u
u look so worn, i bet that life is has got you blown
but it will never get to me
somebody told me that I always have to bow
if that was true I would have fallen apart by now
the more u think, the less u act their ways
so can u hear this, the fake sound of progress
and I feel the way u hold, hold me back from this
chances that I've missed, now their gone
apathy is all I sense, the feelings too intense
sitting on a fence and cant decide
don't frown, don't scorn, cus I walk a different street to u
u look so worn, i bet that life is has got you blown
no body will ever get to me
somebody told me that I always have to bow
if that was true I would have fallen apart by now
the more u think, the less u act their ways
so can u hear this, the fake sound of progress

All these words that I accounted for, never fear another day
always charged but I need more, make me take away
tell me now, can u hear the sound
of all these people falling down
growing back into the ground let me smile again...
smile

Tell me now can u hear the sound, of the record spinning
round and round, for on and on it sounds like the same old
song that I keep singing, it sounds like

dah dah dah dah (yeahyeah sounds like) dah dah dah dah
(all these words that I accounted for, I'll never fear another day)

(improv!!)

somebody told me that I always have to bow
if that was true I would have fallen apart by now
the more u think, the less you act their ways
so can you hear this, the fake sound of progress

yeah yeah yeah progress

make me smile again
(the fake sound of progress)

this song can really put to words the things i did and went through with megan. plus the things i did afterward to regain my footing from where i had fallen. "let me smile again" would prolly have to really depict/represent how i felt and wanted to feel. man a lot can be said from such a simple sentence. some parts of this deal with me trying to do like i think i should and not what i wanted to do or say. i was basically a puppet being controlled by the puppetmaster.
Never reason with a fool, but is that unkind,
looks like I lost my mind once again
I know it all sounds so contrived, but its got to me
u know I've got to be more than this
don't frown, don't scorn, cus I walk a different street to u
thats exactly how i felt and what i wanted to say. i never could say it or do it until after she pulled silent treatment manuever (SP?)I could go on and on about this song, but for the oddest reason the emotion about this is gone. theres isnt anger, a rather empty feeling. maybe its for best.

7. Orgy - Faces

Did you think I'd play these games with you?
Did you think I couldn't help it?
I'm strong enough
I'm good enough
Step down step down, you're the big mistake
I'm losing all control and this is my face
From here on out you can always count on me
count on me to be your enemy, count on me

[Pre-Chorus]
These are the faces
(faces of time)
That's what you're living through
This is all about you

[Chorus]
You're slipping in and out of time, who are you to decide
which one of us winds up broken for a lifetime
and still you'll never be satified until one of us falls apart
I've had enough of this
And these are the faces

You've lost your golden reigns, you've failed to read the signs
you'll find out there's no answers to your stupid ass questions
you can try and tell yourself that everythings all right

[Pre Chorus 2]
When someone is taking all your fame
Thats what youre living through these are the faces
And I think that theyre all coming after you!

[Chorus 2]
When you're slipping in and out of time, who are you to decide
which one of us winds up broken for a lifetime
and no you'll never be satified until one of us falls apart
I've had enough of this
And these are the faces

And nothing can go away (the way you do) and nothing can go away
two faced and pretentious!

[Chorus 2 repeat]

Basically this is a point the blame/its all youre fault, im the one doing right, sorta thing. and its flat out true. it sort of is like brian;s theme song for megan actually. after the whole phone call that started the crash and burn of the war known as "metz" i'd rather not get into explaining that, but here's a hint...it involves megana nd her sister katie(katelyn)

8. Sneaker Pimps - Walking Zero

Take me down, 6 underground,
The ground beneath your feet,
Laid out low, nothing to go
Nowhere a way to meet
Iíve got a head full of drought,
Down here, so faroff losing out
Round here

More a less...a way to describe how i was feeling after all i learned. i'd rather not explain.

9. Limp Bizkit - Just Drop Dead

WHO NEEDS LYRICS FOR THAT KIND OF TITLE?!?!?!?!?!
